Mathieu Laï-king

Hi👋 , my name is Mathieu [pronounced Ma-chee-e, /matjø/] . I am currently looking for a PostDoc / Research Scientist position in Paris, France. My current interests are :

• Using language models for science (biomedical applications, scientific writing, reviewing)
• Language models training data quality (pre and post training) and data selection
• Agents : language models that can interact with tools
• Reasoning : models that have a reasoning mecanism (such as thought token generation) to answer complex problems

My PhD subject was to assess data quality in the medical domain using natural language processing systems. I have been working on information extraction in clinical trials articles to assess the quality of the outcome reporting using BERT models as well as LLMs, and data selection for pretraining language models for the biomedical domain. I was supervised by Patrick Paroubek and Thierry Hamon and worked at LISN Lab (Université Paris Saclay, CNRS).
